2016 shaped up to be my best year (professionally) to date. I met several career goals, and move into 2017 in a strong position.
This year I:
Was published by Spectral Press
Secured a publishing contract with Crystal Lake Publishing
Acquired the services of two agents
Completed two novels
Completed a collection of shorts
Appeared as a finalist in two playwriting competitions
Had several plays published and their performance rights made available for purchase
Delivered a series of workshops at my former primary school
Supported a local artist in her debut exhibition
Saw “Beige – the short”, completed and premiered
Got involved in The City of Culture bid
Released my third collection “Neverlight”
Wrote my first piece for “The Sentinel”
Appeared on BBC Radio Stoke and 6 Towns Radio
Forged links locally and nationally/internationally through my work.
Looking back at that list, I’ve achieved a heck of a lot…but there’s more to come.
In 2017, I aim to:
Appear at my local literary festival
Establish myself as one of the areas leading authors of Dark Fiction
Secure releases for “The Underclass” and “The Tainted Isle”
Appear at more conventions/festivals nationwide
Place more of my work on stage
2016 was a phenomenal year for me, and marks the end of my fourth year writing. 2017 promises to be even more fruitful! I do hope you will join me on my journey!
Until then, all the best for Christmas and the New Year!
