Now Begins The Real Hard Work.

Apologies, it’s been a while since I last posted. My writing career (I am loathed to name it such) has witnessed some developments, significantly, my acquisition of an agent.

To be honest, I still have not fully grasped the implications of working alongside an established agent. I feel lucky to have caught her attention, and will be forever grateful to her for deciding to take a chance on my work. I’ve worked towards securing an agent since the beginning, for it is my belief that if one is to be taken seriously as a writer, then you need someone who both knows the industry and is respected within it, by your side. Cherry Weiner is one such agent, and I am going to work hard to show that the gamble she has taken with me will prove to be worthwhile.

I’ve had so many wishing me well since I signed, and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support. This is not the end of my journey, far from it! I see this as a critically important step towards becoming an established author and believe that the hard work begins here.

So, what can you expect from me shortly?

There’s my debut novel “The Tainted Isle” which my agent is currently working to place. I’ve a fourth collection that is over half-way complete, and I am also hard at work on my second novel. I shall warn you all now; the second novel could not be more different from the first. However, anyone that knows my work knows to expect the unexpected, as I try my hand at all angles of Dark-Fiction.

I am also working hard to secure representation as a playwright. Though I have only been writing material for the stage for little over a year, I’ve already made substantial progress and have begun to establish my name as a playwright of note.

Once again, thank you for your continued support. I’ll check in as and when I am able.

Dan.
