Fantasycon 2016

I only learned of The British Fantasy Society and their annual event “Fantasycon” a few months ago, so I am kind of late to the party. I noticed that they hold an awards ceremony which is held in high esteem by authors, publishers and readers alike.

A couple of years ago, Peter Coleborn of Alchemy Press took the prize for Best Independent Press. He is from the same, small town as me, so I figured I’d have a go at trying to land one of the prizes this year.

I applied to be nominated in:

Best Collection – “Only The Good Burn Bright” (James Ward Kirk Fiction)
Best Non-Fiction – “What Dwells Within – A Study Of Spirit Attachment” (Co-authored with Jayne Harris, 6th Books)
Best Newcomer – Dan Weatherer (Aka Father Darkness)

You’ve got to be in it to win it right?

Fingers crossed.
